Groundswell presents: Dracula the Vampyr! as part of the Cream of Cornish Weekender.
Beware. He is unearthed. He is coming. Keep your windows locked and gather the garlic! The team that brought you The Odyssey, Canterbury Tales and A Christmas Carol now revive their version of Bram Stoker’s classic tale of the infamous vampire. Devised and written in their inimitable and irreverent style, Rabbit Theatre bring you a bold and bloody one-man performance with plenty of bite... it's Dracula: the Vampyr! Starring Kneehigh Theatre veteran, David Mynne, expect bats and more bats; garlic and gore; lunatics and lady vampires! They're all here in this adaptation of the most well-known of all gothic horrors. Be warned: this monstrous, disturbing and completely batty tale of dark deeds (and the undead) will thrill and seduce you… It's deliciously dark! Horribly hair-raising! Spectacularly silly!
Loosely based on the novel by Bram Stoker and adapted by Andrew McPherson.
Starring Dave Mynne.
Script by Simon Harvey and Dave Mynne.
Directed by Simon Harvey.
