DIZRAELI

Dizraeli is a genre of his own. From his debut solo album Engurland (City Shanties) to touring the world and releasing the acclaimed Moving In The Dark with The Small Gods, on the way collaborating with artists as diverse as Kae Tempest, Jam Baxter and Eliza Carthy... and releasing his solo masterpiece The Unmaster, nominated for Album of the Year by Gilles Peterson in the 2020 Worldwide Awards... Diz has always forged his own way.

The pandemic was productive : aside from becoming a father to twin boys, Dizraeli released the Unmaster : Remixes & Versions LP on his Continuous Breath imprint, featuring collaborations with Alabaster Deplume and Orifice Vulgatron (Foreign Beggars), and remixes from Danalogue (The Comet Is Coming), Tom Excell (Nubiyan Twist) and DJ Simbad among many others. He also conceived and crowdfunded the Twenty Years Deep sustainable touring project which launched in Spring 2022 : touring the UK with a new 8-piece ensemble, travelling entirely by train and electric vehicle, planting trees and distributing wildflower seeds in every city. Taking in the UK festival circuit, including Glastonbury, WOMAD and the Main Stage of Shambala, the tour’s finale was a huge show at the O2 Academy in Bristol, with an audience of 1000 and featuring the ensemble and two local choirs.

This year he has already released The Kid, a 4 track EP exploring fatherhood and co-produced with Tom Excell - this was closely followed by Greek Summer, the first single from the upcoming Joy Machine album. Watch the Greek Summer video here - directed by Samuel Perry-Falvey, the director-cinematography behind the meteoric rise of Ren.

Joy Machine, a collaboration with some of the UK’s most exciting young jazz musicians, will be released on the Def Pressé label in May accompanied by remixes from eminent producers including FloFilz and with features including Alabaster DePlume.

“Incredible... make sure you catch him live”  -  Gilles Peterson

“A vital poetic voice in UK rap”  -  Line of Best Fit

“Immense artistic vision... a fascinating artist.”  -  Earmilk

“It’s an exciting time for Dizraeli... tune in now”  -  Clash

BOWKER & MORSE

Both veterans of the South West folk scene in their own right, longtime friends Lizi Morse and Josh Bowker have finally combined their talents to produce something at once comfortingly familiar and intriguingly new. With subjects ranging from flowers to social justice, their self-penned lyrics frame the old things in new ways, and the perfectly complementary vocals create something soaring and beautiful. With a repertoire including old favourites as well as what will soon be new favourites, this duo is one to keep your eyes - and ears - on.
